THE DESIGN VIRUS

Broadening the Scope of Design

This year SIDeR strikes down in Delft, home to the Delft University of Technology! At Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, something happened... The Design Virus emerged and is spreading from its current core to remote areas, looking for new host fields to manifest in. Are you ready to explore new territories and discover what design can do outside it's current curriculum? The Aim of SIDeR 2017 is to broaden the scope of design and investigate interactions between the advantages of design thinking and less traditional parts of the science body.

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
Would you like to present your design research to your international peers? We invite a broad range of unpublished research, original design work and exciting new ideas that are broadening the scope of design. There is a list with suggested topics, but the theme can be interpreted freely. When applying, we suggest to check with your University if they might have any special funds for you available.

FUNDING FOR IDE STUDENTS
If you are a TU Delft IDE student, your entrance fee will partly be compensated by the faculty. Master and bachelor students are entitled to a discount of at least 20 euros, dependent of the amount of students registered for the event. To receive this discount all you have to do is register at this website, your final discount will be transferred back to you as soon as registration is closed.
